Top 5 Ways To Update Your Garden On A Budget.

When going through magazines and websites, it often feels that in order to have a comfortable outdoors space, we must spend thousands of dollars on landscaping and furniture, however we are here to tell you this is not the case!

We want to share some low -cost options to give your outdoor space a huge upgrade! Here are out Top 5 tips:

#1 Re-purpose a Broken Gazebo as an Arbor

Many people purchase these canvas topped gazebos and then throw them away when the canvas gets torn or broken in some way. But the frame of the gazebo itself can make a great arbor on which to grow vines. If you need shade sooner, you can always hang a few fabric "sails" from it.

#2 Paint Patio Tiles or Cement

Old and tired patio stones can be brought back to life with painting. You could also paint a cement space either one flat color or with stencils to make a design (maybe you could make it look like a rug?). This is a great update because it is an easy weekend project, is relatively inexpensive and if your space does not already have old patio stones, they are often available for free in classified ads!

#3 Create a Potted Garden

The title picture of this post really says it all. Pots can often be obtained cheaply (or even free) and you could simply fill them with dirt and plant some seeds to have a potted plant! Repeat the process a few dozen times and you can completely transform your space this summer!

Un-matching pots can be fun and add an element of whimsy to your space, but if you are looking for a more elegant look, you could spray paint all your pots to match!

#4 Update your Tired Patio Furniture

Sometimes all your outdoor space needs is a furniture update. See our Top 5 Ways to Update your Patio Furniture post for some extra tips!

#5 Add Whimsical Touches

Add whimsy to your garden with some unexpected touches. Some of your indoor decorations that you've tired of can easily be brought outdoors. Try adding a mirror to your fence, or converting a candelabra with solar lights! These little touches will add charm to your garden and really give it personality.
